IS AFT3R A STATE LICENSED PROGRAM?

Absolutely! Each Aft3r site is licensed with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. We must continually adhere to and maintain state licensing standards in order to renew our permits from school year to school year.

WHO CAN ENROLL IN AFT3R?

Aft3r provides after-school care for elementary and middle school children ages 3 to 14 years old that are enrolled in school at any of our current locations.

WHO LOOKS AFTER MY CHILDREN IN AFT3R?

Aft3r is owned and operated by former educators, but more importantly, our site directors and caregivers must be at least 18 years of age. All Aft3r staff are FBI fingerprinted and background checked. They must clear the local Children’s Protective Services, State Criminal Registry, and the National Criminal Registry database in order to work on site with our students and program.

All site directors and caregivers are pediatric and adult CPR/First Aid/AED trained and certified. In addition, all directors and caregivers must maintain a minimum of 18 hours of ongoing professional development every school year. AND...they must love working with children!

WHAT IF I DON'T NEED DAILY CARE, BUT I KNOW I MAY NEED IT ON EARLY DISMISSAL DAYS?

Aft3r offers occasional care for parents that need child care on early dismissal days at Spring Branch ISD and St. Thomas More campuses. Please contact the main office for this option.

WHAT ARE AFT3R'S DAILY HOURS?

Aft3r is open on all scheduled school days, Monday through Friday, from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m at SBISD schools and 6:30 p.m. at HISD schools/STM. Yes, that does include any scheduled early dismissal days!

I DON'T NEED REGULAR, DAILY AFTER SCHOOL CARE. CAN MY CHILD ATTEND AFT3R FOR ENRICHMENT CLUBS ONLY?

Yes, they can, but priority is given to families in need of full time after school care. If there is still space available after priority full-time enrichment enrollment, then we will open up registration to part-time families. This will vary by club and school.

If space is available, you will be charged a daily attendance rate for Aft3r in addition to the cost of the enrichment class. This is because state licensing requires that all students are registered through Aft3r and that they are counted in our daily caregiver to student ratios. Your child is welcome and encouraged to stay with us up until 6:30 p.m. on their club days!

HOW DO I KNOW MY CHILDREN WILL BE SAFE?

In addition to our licensing requirements, safety trainings and ongoing staff trainings, Aft3r utilizes EZChildTrack for safe student pick up with a unique PIN assigned for each family.

HOW MUCH IS TUITION FOR AFT3R?

Aft3r for the 2025-2026 school year is $340 per month.  In addition, there is an annual, non-refundable, $75 registration fee due upon enrollment.

WHAT WILL MY CHILDREN BE DOING IN AFT3R?

All Aft3r students are provided with a light snack upon school dismissal. Homework assistance is provided daily and is overseen by Aft3r site directors and caregivers.

Students will participate in daily S.T.E.A.M. based, hands-on, fun activities, indoor imagination stations, structured traditional games, outdoor free play, and special monthly themed arts and crafts. You may also choose to enroll your children in one of the many enrichment programs hosted by trusted third party providers and clubs.

Students attending enrichment classes will receive a snack and will be supervised before and after enrichment clubs on their club days.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ENRICHMENT CLUBS.

We team up with your favorite enrichment providers to make after school activities a one-stop-shop.

What will my child's day look like?

What

Students will check in with Aft3r just as they usually do and will remain with their group until it is time to go to their enrichment club. At 3:30 your child will leave their Aft3r group and join their speciality enrichment club group. These clubs last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the club. Once the club is over, your child will return to their Aft3r group.

Who are the enrichment club providers?

All enrichment club providers are third party providers. All providers. pass a three step background check and fingerprinting process and are CPR and first aid certified. They also follow all Texas Child Care Licensing rules and standards just as Aft3r does.

Who sets the enrichment club prices and refund policies?

The enrichment club providers set their own prices and refund policies. To review those policies you can click here.

How does the enrichment club program work?

We have two enrichment club sessions. One during the fall semester, and the other in the spring semester. Each semester will have 12 classes. These classes will be held the same day and same time each week. We also have make-up classes built in to the enrichment schedule for if the provider needs to cancel a class or if a class is canceled due to a school closure.
